Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the process?

I provide a comprehensive process to assist clients in launching and improving their clothing lines. It begins with a complimentary 30-minute line review, during which we explore the client's ideas, goals, and vision. After this initial assessment, I start billing for my time, ensuring clients get valuable and focused assistance throughout the journey.

To proceed further, most companies typically schedule design meetings. In these meetings, we delve into the entire line sheet, discussing each aspect in detail, from designs to materials and production considerations. Understanding the client's specific deadlines is essential, allowing us to strategize and align our efforts to meet their timeline effectively.

My expertise lies primarily in digital work, so I provide digital solutions encompassing design, prototyping, and digital asset preparation. This approach streamlines the design process, making it more efficient and convenient for both parties.

I offer consultation services for those who are just starting and need initial guidance. Establishing a clothing line can be daunting, but having the right people to guide you through the process can make a significant difference. With over ten years of freelancing experience in Los Angeles, I have built a robust network of talented professionals and industry experts, ensuring that my clients receive top-notch support and collaboration.

I aim to empower clients with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to turn their clothing line visions into reality. Whether it's fine-tuning existing collections or kickstarting a brand-new line, I'm dedicated to providing tailored solutions that lead to success in the ever-evolving fashion industry.

What do you need from us to get started?

To get started, we'll need the following from you:

  1. Line sheet of your new collection: front, side, and back sketches, sample references, image references, reference block, and approved basic blocks.

  2. Specs for all styles (basic specs) and fit model measurements.

  3. Fabric and trim information.

  4. Clear deadline and budget details (payment plan accepted).

Please note that one round of fit corrections is included in the price. We recommend working with a professional fit model for the best results when developing your new clothing line. You can consider contacting Peak Models or Rage Models (non-affiliated) to find a suitable fit model. Let's collaborate to bring your fashion vision to life efficiently and professionally.

Will you work with New Designers? Stylists?

Certainly! I welcome collaborations with both new designers and experienced stylists. However, when it comes to stylists, I prioritize working with those with experience in the industry. This preference is because experienced stylists are well-versed in the design process, which facilitates smoother communication and understanding throughout the project.

It is essential to ensure that the chosen stylist is a good fit for their clients, especially when dealing with designs that require pre-fitting sessions. In such cases, I prefer to conduct fittings directly with my clients to ensure accuracy and satisfaction.

Additionally, I may decline to work with designers to maintain the highest quality standards if the replicated sample does not match the required fabric quality. I believe in open communication and will promptly inform the client to avoid any potential disappointment with the result. I aim to deliver designs that drape and look precisely as envisioned.

Furthermore, I run a working agency with a team of skilled contractors, and we have been collaborating successfully for many years. Our expertise covers various aspects of the fashion industry, including pattern makers, sample makers, and marker graders. This collaborative approach ensures a seamless and efficient process, resulting in outstanding outcomes for our clients.

I’m in a rush, can you finish this the next day?

It depends on my schedule and workload. I work full-time and must review the workload if my schedule is open. Yes, a 50% upcharge must be added to the regular rate.

What is your rate?

My schedule is all over the place at the moment and mostly work full-time (freelance) for another apparel company, but when I have time, I will accept work and we can talk about my rates. Feel free to contact me.

I work with an agency and they place me all over the city. I do get some down time so you never know until you reach out. I like kind humans. Don’t contact me if you are not fair and professional.
